We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first-ever entrepreneurship program at WASHK, a collaborative initiative under our Friends of WAS program. This program, led by an esteemed parent with extensive experience in private equity investment, will provide our pupils with an invaluable opportunity to experience real-world business challenges and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
Through this program, our pupils will engage in hands-on learning, covering key aspects of business operations, including procurement, sales, marketing, and sustainable practices. They will work in teams to create their own business plans, execute them according to their own deadlines, and critically review their progress as they go.
Our inaugural venture is the Tea Project, where students will develop a tea-based business, sourcing tea from Fujian and selling it in Hong Kong. They will benefit from the guidance of experienced WASHK parents and the wider Hong Kong business community, while being encouraged to think critically and solve problems through questions rather than direct answers.
This program aligns with our commitment to providing our pupils with a holistic and enriching education that extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. We believe that fostering entrepreneurial skills at a young age will empower our students to become innovative thinkers, problem solvers, and future leaders.
We are excited to witness the growth and success of our young entrepreneurs as they embark on this exciting journey!
