Safeguarding and Pupil Welfare
At Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong, the safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils, and this commitment is shared by all members of our school community.
Our school is renowned for excellence in teaching, learning, pastoral care, and a wide range of co-curricular activities. We strive to continuously develop and improve our safeguarding policies and procedures, placing student care at the heart of all we do. Through our Safer Recruitment policy, we ensure a rigorous staff recruitment process that further strengthens our safeguarding practices.
Safeguarding Policy
Our safeguarding policy is developed in line with the laws of Hong Kong, local authority requirements, and recognised best practices for British schools abroad. Key principles of our safeguarding approach include:
- The welfare of each child is paramount, and the school will always work to keep children safe from harm or abuse.
- All members of the school community remain vigilant and committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students.
- It is a child’s right to feel secure, and the school is responsible for providing a safe environment where children can thrive.
