Curriculum Of Excellence
Wycombe Abbey’s reputation for academic rigour is well-established and results are consistently outstanding. Our ethos is rooted in a simple principle that a holistic approach to education, which incorporates a diverse co-curricular programme, will foster the skills pupils require to succeed in life.
At Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong, we are ambitious for our pupils. We set twelve developmental objectives for equipping our pupils with the skills required to mature in emotional intelligence, teamwork and leadership. Our children learn to be expert, lifelong learners and creative, collaborative problem solvers so that they can flourish in their future lives and careers.
Our Commitment to Holistic Development
Our ethos is rooted in a simple yet powerful principle – that a truly transformative education must address the development of the whole child. Our diverse curriculum, nurtures students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. This holistic approach not only fosters happy, confident learners, but also equips them with the skills to succeed in life beyond our walls.
Ski Trip in Switzerland 2024
At Wycombe Abbey HK, we believe in the power of holistic education. It goes beyond academic excellence and encompasses the development of the whole individual, nurturing their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical well-being.
In 2024, our senior students have landed in the picturesque slopes of Verbier, Switzerland where they carved their way through the powdery snow, create memories and, most importantly, learn and grow beyond the classroom.
By providing extraordinary experiences like this, we aim to foster a well-rounded approach that prepares our students for success in all aspects of life.
Independence and Ownership beyond the classroom
Our curriculum also includes residential overnight camps where pupils are challenged beyond their comfort zone, fostering personal growth and resilience in a supportive environment. These immersive experiences encourage students to step out of familiar surroundings, face new challenges, and develop a deeper sense of self-awareness and independence.
Engaging in hands-on activities, students learn to apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts and encouraging creativity and critical thinking. Whether through outdoor expeditions, community service initiatives, or artistic endeavours, students are encouraged to explore their passions, broaden their perspectives, and develop a well-rounded skill set.
Young children are natural enthusiasts in new activities
