Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong is delighted to report the tremendous success of our participation in the SCMP International School Festival held on Saturday, September 21st at the Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. This year’s event marked a significant milestone as it took place in a new and larger venue, accommodating hundreds of young parents eager to learn more about international school options for their children.
Despite the initial quietness due to the red rain warning, the Festival witnessed a surge of attendees later in the day, demonstrating the immense interest in international education. Our school’s booth was a hub of activity, with our dedicated team engaging with numerous families and providing them with comprehensive information about our unique educational offerings.
The highlight of the event was the participation of our Headmaster Fox in the key panel discussion: “Make the Right Choice – Understanding Primary School Curricula in Hong Kong.” alongside esteemed heads of other prominent schools, including Duncan Fitzgerald of Hong Kong International School, Alexandra Freigang-Krause of German Swiss International School, and Dr Cora Hui of Christian Alliance P.C. Lau Memorial International School, our Headmaster shared valuable insights on the UK curriculum of Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong.
Furthermore, our Headmaster led an informative session titled “Preparing Children to Thrive at UK Boarding Schools and Life Beyond.” He elaborated on how Wycombe Abbey Hong Kong meticulously prepares students for academic and personal success, not only within the UK school environment but also in their future endeavours. He emphasized the importance of character development, highlighting how our school fosters kindness, collaboration, resilience, and confidence in our students. He also showcased the impressive achievements of our graduates, who have secured places at prestigious institutions such as Eton, Cheltenham Ladies’, Rugby, Abingdon, Badminton, and Downe House.
